Be Your Own Buddha

Apparently, in the Buddha's final moments, his disciples asked: 
Who will guide us once you are gone?"  
Buddha replied:

“ APPA DIPO BHAVA — Be a light unto yourself.” 

During a recent dark night passage in my life, I was asked, "Do you see the light at the end of the tunnel?"
I paused and these words came out of my mouth:
"Actually, I see that the light guiding me through the tunnel has been within me...all along."

It is in all of us.
